Hello everyone, currently into the second day of the Genting trip. So far, the trip has been really horrible. Weather was cold, dark and dreary and poor ol’ me had been plagued by the cough virus yet again! Had been coughing non-stop for the past two days until Aunty Olive got so worried that she feels its her responsibility to make sure that I am all right. This means I am being smothered by her yet again. This cannot do, that cannot eat, nag… nag… nag… This has gone to an extent that I am on the verge of having a nervous breakdown.
So far, the only highlight of the trip was the long ride here in the van. My cousins, Jeremiah, Matthias, David, Jeslyn, Jerry, little Joshua and I sat together in the same van and we chatted throughout the entire van ride. During one particular stopover, Uncle Johnny puchased ice cream cones for all my cousins (I declined due to my cough) and they all started munching together inside the van. As it was little Joshua’s very first time eating ice cream, the melted parts of his ice cream cone dribbled down his chin and all over his face and shirt. His white shirt ended up as brown by the time Joshua had finished his ice cream cone. Jeremiah then remarked that Joshua would make a very good basketball player in the future as he could dribble very well.
Headed straight to First World Plaza last night after dinner and just strolled around. We hung around in this little gift shop which were selling stuff for half price and I purchased a little pink stuffed piglet. Jeremiah also purchased one of those for his friends as a Christmas present and in total, we spent a grand total of RM 50.00 for both, which means that it was only Singapore $24++. David got really impatient with us and he chased us out of the shop once we had made our purchases so that he could go to the arcade. The next hour was spent watching the boys play video games while I just stood around and stoned.
Today’s events were somewhat similar. Due to the heavy rain outside, we had no other choice but to head to First World Plaza despite our initial plans to go to the Outdoor Theme Park. As usual, our first stop was the Euro Express Roller Coaster which all of us were addicted to and we spent 45 minutes waiting in line just for a 2-minute ride. Jeremiah entertained us all during the entire ride by screaming and shrieking at the top of his lungs even though the ride wasn’t that scary at all. I had no choice but to stuff my fingers in my ears since he was sitting directly next to me. Furthermore, everyone else in line were also staring at Jeremiah with a shocked look on their faces. Such unwanted attention.
Next, we headed on to Snow World. My little nephew Joshua also joined us together with Jerry and Jeslyn. Had to rent snow jackets, boots and gloves before we were allowed into the attraction and one thing I really ought to complain about was the fact that the gloves absolutely stank. Honestly, I wonder how many people had worn those gloves before me. The glove was smelly and damp when I slipped them on and I grimaced right there and then. Sadly though, Snow World was a little too freezing cold for me to handle and so I had to hop in and out of the attraction every 5 minutes because I was getting a severe case of frostbite.
Sincerely praying hard that the rain would stop soon so that we can go out and enjoy the cool mountain air. And this illusive cough of mine ought to stop soon before I start feeling inclined to yank my entire head off my shoulders, if that was ever possible. *Pops more medicine and lozenges*
[EDITED @ 3:37pm]
The internet connection here is absolutely ticking me off. Internet just hanged for almost 10 minutes, which means that I am actually getting cheated of the $10.00 which I had paid for 1 full hour of internet access. This is daylight robbery!
