Because the lack of things to do (darn the non-existent internet connection) at my workplace, here’s what yours truly has resorted to doing just to keep myself sane.
Oh, and pardon the baaaaad, slightly pixellated image quality because the computer at my workplace only has Microsoft Paint. -grumbles.

MS Office Assistant ain’t so smart after all.
And if you’re wondering how all these pictures got here, I emailed them pictures to my personal email account (I only have email access but no web access) and only managed to write this from home.

Resorted to talking to the office assistant (which took the shape of an adorable puppy) in Microsoft Word, because I soooo had no one to talk to me at my workplace regarding anything else except work.
(Sidenote: It’s been proven - people who have a 9-5 job really have zero social life. I am a living example of one of them.)

Through meddling with more mySQL codes (yay for database management), I realized that in the world of mySQL - I do not exist.

Customized my personal folder, changing the icons, organizing all my documents until I’m satisfied that my folder was in tip-top shape.
And the piece de resistance - added this afternoon, a silly readme.txt file A.K.A “The Idiot’s Guide To Brenda’s Personal Folder”.

Possibly the most redundant readme.txt file I’ve ever written.
Oh, and a certain discovery this morning could possibly put a halt to the dread I experience each day when going to work.
Yours truly decided to take a walk around the industrial estate (in a desperate bid to escape the freezing cold room) in the nice sunshine and discovered a lovely spot some distance behind my workplace where I can sit and watch the planes take off from the nearby airport.
And if I were to climb to the top of the grassy slope, I’d have a bird’s eye view of the runway as well.
Now I know where to escape to when I start having the Monday blues or work blues or whatsoever blues.
Oh, and I will definitely show that place to a certain individual who refers to a 10km walk as a ’short walk’, likewise for another individual who is the complete opposite of the former. (You know who you are!)

Goodness! Your efforts to reduce boredom in the workplace are extremely creative and praiseworthy. I would stare at walls and tie and untie my shoelaces.
HAHA you really are SUPER boreddd! and you blogged the doggie thing you sent us!
can’t wait to see you babe (:
Woa, so gd, got somewhere to just sit and relax. Do take photos of the planes!!!
Lol that is honestly very cute. I used to talk to the dog too but the last time I did that was probably some 7 or 8 years ago lol.
notepad — best friend during internship. ;)
Torturing robots! Yes! You are bored…. I guess that’s what happens when you work much faster than you should.
10km DOES NOT EQUAL short!
Puppy dog is okay. A lot of people found Clippy to be annoying. Iliad even dedicated a few days worth of UserFriendly to put Clippy down.
I always used the paperclip for my helper buddy. I just liked his face.
As for saving screencaps in ms paint, save as a png and it won’t blur like that. or you can save them as a 24 bitmap which won’t blur either but takes far longer to e-mail.
In either case the images are cute and funny so a little blur or pixelation really doesn’t matter :P
umm…honestly…10km with company is not so bad….
Hahaha. Priceless.
