Oh yay, almost done. (: If you happened to pop by during the past five hours, you may have find links directing you to the wrong places, disproportionate positionings and all sorts of chaos that you’d experience only at ground zero.
But it’s all good now. Mostly.
Regarding the site structure, I’ve dumped out quite a bit of old content that I no longer find worthwhile to display, or little bits here and there that no longer make sense (which I may have left out during the last full site maintenance).
I’ve installed PixelPost to help manage my photography. This means no more manual thumbnail and individual HTML file creations for any new images I upload - which is my main gripe about my previous photography section which explains WHY I haven’t uploaded any new photography for SO LONG. Hopefully, the new script will compel me to upload more of my new works since playing around with it makes me happy. (Oh, geek alert.)
Oh, and lookie above! I’ve managed to import my latest Twitter updates into this site itself. (Haha, I sound extremely proud of myself here - because till today, I never knew it was possible. Thanks to Wordpress plugins.)
But one big fat issue - the Twitter posts can’t seem to be imported into the other static, non-Wordpress pages. (The Twitter import thingy is a Wordpress plugin, remember?) If anyone has any clue on how to resolve this, Brenda will give you a big fat virtual hug.
Otherwise, feel free to click around and inform me if you spot any ladybugs, big bugs, little bugs or cockroaches roaming around.
EDITED @ 13:40, 20/03
I squashed a fair bit of bugs and cockroaches thanks to your inputs. Thanks to all!
Additionally, much thanks to Jem for helping me with the non-validation issue (caused by entities in some links).
Likewise, the above Twitter issue has been resolved as well. The big fat virtual hug goes, with many thanks, to Ivy.

is the green sidebar on the right intended? by the way love the new look
Brenda’s Reply: Sidebar on the right? Err, it’s on the left. Or are you seeing another sidebar on the right? o_O
OOOH! LOVE IT! =D
Love the colors!! I was wondering though, maybe you can start expanding your layouts to forgo 800×600 resolution because most people use 1280×1240 or 1024×768 these days. As for me I’m using widescreen 1280×800 and I see more empty space than the actual layout.
As for Twitter, you can add on any page you want. Just go to http://twitter.com/badges/html (this it the CSS XHTML variant). There is a flash version too.
Brenda’s Reply: Roughly 25% of my visitors still use 800 x 600, so I doubt I can ditch 800 x 600 completely. :( Got to accomodate to all! And thanks for the Twitter widget! (WHEE!)
Can you believe it? I was trying to hack the Wordpress Twitter plugin last night? :/
It’s been such a long time since you changed your layout. I even forgot that you used to change them often… once upon a time :P
Anyway, I rather like this new layout… well I’m not quite fond of the green stripe on the right. It seems superfluous. Just keep the like orange background.
Also, have the letters vertically please, I have trouble reading them as they are, feel like tilting my head sideways constantly.
Aside this I love it :D
Brenda’s reply: The green stripe on the right wasn’t supposed to be there. Another visitor pointed it out earlier. Anyway, bug fixed. (:
Niice. I wish I could do something like this.
I especially love the navigation.
aw, I think the new design is adorable. The colors are amazing, and the header is very nicely put together :)
I also like this comment box, a lot :D
Oh I am loving your new color scheme and update!! It definitely has been too long but I love your new creation!!
Love the twitter too!! If only I use mine as much!
Great new design! It’s very you. I am really digging the colour scheme. The green on the content is really pleasing to the eyes, and even though we don’t have deciduous seasons, it seems appropriate for Spring. =)
Personally I have no issue on any aspect of the layout, but I’ll keep my digital flip flops on guard if I see a cockroach scurrying about. =P
Come to think of it, maybe you can increase the font of your categories. It’s noticeably smaller than the rest. Unless you’re trying to deter people away from reading your past entries. :D
Nice new design ;D
Have you tried making fluid layouts? That way it can cater for many browsers, but it’ll be a pain in the arse to get it to work right in all browsers *shrugs*
I love the new colour scheme! Love it! I got the default Wordpress layout (Kubrick?) on a few pages just now, though. Seems to be fine now.
Brenda’s reply: Oops, was in the midst of debugging something just now. That’s why! :( Sorry about it!
Well done, Brenda:-) I especially like the styles of your sidebar and the twitter intergration.
I love the new layout! Your layouts are always so original and unique. :D And I love the colour scheme as well! I wouldn’t have been able to come up with a colour scheme like that. ;)
Why don’t you make all your sub-pages WordPress pages as well?? Saves doing things manually. ;)
I’m digging the new look! =D Especially the sideways-text in the sidebar/header there. x) Twitter thing seems cool, too.
The new theme looks good! And just in time for spring. Er… what season are you having over there?
I found another bug!! Easy squish though. It’s on your personal links page. The link to your friend “we love maggots” is probably missing something.
Brenda’s reply: Fixed! (:
finally…. after seeing flowers for so many damn version
Brenda’s reply: I happen to like flowers, so deal with it. (:
I’ve been a silent reader but I just had to comment to say that I’m lovin’ what I’m seeing so far. A refreshing new layout :)
