Laughter in the midst of work.
One part down, another to go.
T’was a high-speed race just to get the powerpoint slides submitted by the stipulated deadline just now at 12 midnight. My heart’s still thumping even at this moment, and I can still vividly recall how I only received the final portions from another member at 11.53p.m. and how I had to add them all into the slides, format them nicely, and chuck it into an email to my prof in less than 7 minutes.
I think Mithi’s still feeling the after-effects of the trauma as well.
It’s presently 1 a.m. here in Singapore, and it’s time for me to work on the group report.
Before you rebuke me for last minute work again - let me clarify that as a group, we have had multiple disagreements on what we wanted to do, the work distribution and blah dee blah. Sounds like an excuse but no - because I make it a point to not do last minute work. Notice how it is usually the group assignments that thwart my efforts?
But ah, anyway. Let me happily blog here before I actually commence my assignment. My brain needs a short rest, non?

So, plans for a trip to Genting is currently in progress. Nothing’s been finalized yet, but ah well, it’s still a month away. Presently, the people likely to be going are mostly girls (Mithi included), and a couple.
Midway during our project meeting today;
“You know, with Irvin and his girlfriend around, we ought to book a seperate room for them,” Mithi says.
“Golly gee, good idea. I don’t want to be so bright yet,” I muttered. (Referring to how we girls were all going to become super-bright lightbulbs if we were to share rooms.)
Mithi started laughing.
“It’s more like I don’t wish to know what goes on at night,” says she.
There was silence for a moment as we proceeded on with our work, before she spoke up again.
“You know, I’m going to rummage through his stuff on the way to Genting. If I find a condom in there, I’m going to make sure I poke multiple holes in it!”
I spent the next minute doubling over in laughter and couldn’t stop for quite a while.

I hate doing things last minute as well and I agree: group projects keep me from keeping up my commitment of not doing things in the last minute.
