Holiday plans!
23:17:38 | Daily Life |
Oh hello, exams are finally over. (:
Not that it was something that was even smothering me in the first place. I felt strangely relaxed over the entire examination period. No tension, no stress. It was just - study, sit for the paper and leave.
Plus, I think I did reasonably well. No regrets as I left the examination room after each paper, so I am presuming that’s a good sign?
I have at most a couple more weeks to relax before FYP begins. Although I’m very slightly miffed that it’ll be taking over possibly the last long vacation I’ll ever get to have, it’s a whole lot better than having to go through it during the next school term on top of all my other modules and responsibilities.
Plus, I love projects. So, why am I complaining?
Meanwhile, I am really craving for a holiday. A short one. Even Malaysia will suffice, although I am more inclined towards jet-setting to someplace further - such as Hong Kong or Macau.
Unfortunately, it seems like everyone else is either broke/does not have parental consent/not interested/just cannot be bothered with me.
I am very much tempted to simply go on a short trip all by my little self. The lack of companionship may be a good thing - allowing me to simply roam around on my own, without a care in the world, and sans the occasional disagreements about where to go when in a group.
But my parents, liberal as they are when it comes to allowing me to travel - draw the line when the number of people in the group falls below three.
The best I can do for the time being is have my camera for company and roam around Singapore. (Hoping to do this ever since several weeks ago!)
Yay for photography trips on my own!
Oh, and other plans include more baking (cookies! cupcakes!) and perhaps to get off my lazy ass for some exercise. (It’s practically grown into the chair, considering how often I’ve parked my ass on it during the entire semester!)

wat happening with the chalet?!
Man, I’m jealous of your contentedness during the exam period, I very very rarely have that feeling! D= (Just recently, for our trial exams, most of the Core Maths papers felt easy. But the other subjects… were like… gaaahh..) Even recently my exam jitters (eventhough it was only Islamic Studies) caused me to lose my student ID. -__- Sigh.
Anyway, traveling alone does sound kinda awesome (though dangerous, but awesome anyways), so I guess a photography trip around the country would give a similar feeling… =D Hope you’ll get that nice vacation you want, though!
Going on a trip alone can be very relaxing. There is time to think about everything, and maybe find some new ideas and solutions. Parents are always worried. I am 25 now, and my mother still expresses being worried when I go on a trip alone.
Another thing: You have been tagged by me ;-)
A photography trip around Singapore sounds fun!! You’ll get the exercise you want too. :P
It must be in the air… I wanted to go on a trip during his Easter (the Orthodox one), but am quite broke… so I’ll just settle for a long weekend (get Monday off), plus Thursday off (May 1st - labor day).
Well… at least you have the option of photography. Can’t you go with friends in Singapore? Being in the same city and all? I’m generally bored to death if I don’t take a friend on trips.
A small trip for yourself isn’t a bad idea, sometimes it’s nice to have some “me” time. Maybe you should go! I want to go as well, but with my hubby. I already had my alone trip, and it warrants enough for me. Hope you will get a mini vacation at least!
I think we all want to get away right now. This springtime air just inspires me to migrate elsewhere. I think a small photography trip would be in order, most definitely.
