Believes she was born with her foot in her mouth, and sprouts the most random nonsense. Has egoistical tendencies, sticks by her principles, extremely hard-headed and a tongue of venom (when provoked). Otherwise, she's a harmless little fart. Really. Easily bribed with Starbucks' hot chocolate and colourful balloons.

TitleTaking a break

04:53:31 | Daily Life | Comments

Or a hiatus. Or whatever you may wish to call it. (I bet you saw this coming - considering the sudden silence over the past few days?)

This break will last only at most a week though. I love blogging too much to let it go for an extended period of time. Plus, blogging keeps me sane so … how can I live without it, yes?

Valid reason for this, being that I’m up to my elbows in work. Once things stabilize more, I’ll get back to dishing out almost daily bouts of verbal diarrhea here. Meanwhile, what’s on my list is as follows;

1) FYP (Final Year Project)
Still getting my little determined self accustomed to Flash and Actionscript 3.0 Programming - something which is so utterly foreign to me since I haven’t laid a finger on it before, being a purely Java/PHP person. So, the learning curve is huge, although I’m coping well at the moment, taking things step by step and enjoying the learning process immensely. Plus, I can do basic flash animations and effects now, so I’m happy.

2) Travel Diary
Almost always written after I arrive home from a holiday. That trip to Genting Highlands with my extended family last week had been too eventful to an extent that I have too much bullcrap to write. Presently still accounting for the third day, at page 51 and still going strong.

3) Health
Still need to visit my doctor again to get the correct medication. My ’stand-by’ supply (read: leftovers) has come to zilch and I need to get the correct meds like now otherwise I’d end up suffering tomorrow because I have no more meds left. (And I have no idea whether he is back from his holiday yet. Argh!)

Oh, and did I mention myself getting hit by a bout of hives again a couple of days ago?

Apparently, my favourite doctor told me that I could stop my Ceterizine medication and so I did - completely forgetting that the Ceterizine was supposed to be a lifetime thing because I have chronic urticaria. (For the unitiated - urticaria refers to hives induced by allergies and also in my case, basic daily activities such as sitting, standing and walking. So basically, I need the medicine just to live.)

I will write a full entry on my multiple health conditions once I return from my little break, just to set things straight - because I am getting rather sick and tired of explaining to people exactly what is wrong with me. (And having to answer countless questions, and trying to ignore their sceptical gazes.)

Okay, off I go for a few more days.

Until then, please take good care of yourselves!

I’ve always wanted to know more about Flash, but I’ve never heard of Actionscript.

That’s a pretty scary thought…your doctor telling you it’s OK to suit taking the medication you need to keep you alive and healthy =/ Hopefully you get all that straightened out, and get your medications soon!!

Have fun on your short break! =]
