I have lots of gas today, coming out in all directions. (Oops, bet ya didn't need to know that.)

Believes she was born with her foot in her mouth, and sprouts the most random nonsense. Has egoistical tendencies, sticks by her principles, extremely hard-headed and a tongue of venom (when provoked). Otherwise, she's a harmless little fart. Really. Easily bribed with Starbucks' hot chocolate and colourful balloons.

TitleRambling about random stuff.

Okay, this is creepy.

Out of curiousity, I decided to randomly search for the names of some ex-colleagues from Singapore Airlines last year in Facebook and surprise, surprise - I actually found two of them!

One of them was someone I worked directly with - he was one of the superiors who supervised me in my daily tasks, not to mention the countless amounts of food he treated me to and refused to let me pay. (I still feel bad about it till now.) The other is the Vice President of my department - Information Technology, the same individual who interviewed me for the internship.

Seems like in the near future, the whole world will be on Facebook.

Oh, speaking of Facebook - I’ve been lurking around there for quite a bit recently. All my friends were right - it is addictive. But nonono, I don’t go there for the mindless applications like crappy quizzes, Texas Hold’Em Poker or whatsoever crap.

I go there to play Fluff Friends.

Okay, come to think of it - it is a little mindless too. But dang, everyone knows I have a weakness for animals.

So, since I can’t adopt a real-life pet due to my multiple allergies - a virtual pet will suffice for the time being.

Mine is a squirrel called Squeegee (yes, the namesake of my favourite stuffed pig), who is brown, fluffy and absolutely adorable. I’ve fed him loads and trained him up so he’s big and strong and gets the first place for most of the Fluff-races I enter him into. Wheeeee.

Okay, I deviated. Anyone with a Facebook account who knows me, feel free to add me.

I’m seriously contemplating taking part in Stardust 2008 - an islandwise Singing Competition due to take place over the next three or four months. The invitation email landed in my inbox a couple of days ago, and I’m still pondering about it till now.

Much as I’m keen, my health is a serious obstacle that is stopping me.

I still get breathless when I walk continuously for ten minutes or more, and I am still on multiple antihistamines and all that shebang. Mum reckons it’ll take about five or six months for me to fully stabilize all over again.

Which means singing is basically out - because I can’t even talk in long sentences without having to hyperventilate a little.

BUT I WANT TO JOIN STARDUST 2008.

Argh.

Okay, time to sleep now. I have to get up in exactly four hours for a morning class at 8.30 A.M. And mummy dearest will flip if she discovers that I’m still awake now especially since I am on strict doctor’s orders to get plenty of rest and turn in before midnight. (Which I haven’t heeded at all - been going to bed at 4 A.M. in the morning ever since that asthma-anaphylaxis episode.)

Okay. Yes. Now. Night!

TitleIt’s been a long time.

Oh yes, finally. All done!

All the little tweaking of the formats, paraphrasing of words and the nitty gritty details have been settled - as such, this site is now officially back up and running in full force.

I still have one set of photography to upload but I think I’d get to that when I feel fresher. (It’s the dead of the night now, and I’ve been working on this simultaneously for two days!)

Ah anyway, I’ve gotten rid of the sidebar for this particular design as I was feeling rather adventurous. I like the outcome though. Things seem to look less cluttered. That sidebar, however, might make a comeback in the future designs though, because I’m so used to having something on the side.

Photos featured on the left are captured from Cameron Highlands last year. Fresh strawberries, fresh tomatoes - hence the version title “Tis’ the harvest season!” Oh, and yes - that camera in the middle is supposed to emphasize my love for photography.

If this doesn’t appeal to you as much as the previous ones do - that’s because I haven’t designed anything for this domain (or any other site, rather) ever since July last year. -wince. It took me a rather time to draw this whole thing up from a blank canvas since I was all out of practice. (It holds a record of nine pre-launch drafts.)

One more thing, new guestbook! The previous script I used started breaking on me for no apparent reason and so I’m now a proud worshipper of Jem’s Bellabook script.

Okay, now that the obligatory introductory speech for this redesign has been done. Comments?

Oh, and don’t forget to holler at me if anything seems out of place to you, despite my best attempts to test this in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Netscape. ;)

-grin.

TitleA General Site Update

20:51:04 | Web Stuff | Comments writebacks (4)

If you found that you couldn’t access this site during the past 24 hours or more, it was because I had inadvertently let the domain expire. Repeated warnings of domain expiry hadn’t reached my inbox, apparently. Plus, I don’t make it a habit to remember expiry dates.

I’ve renewed it and everything is peachy now. But boy, what a scare.

Anyhoo, Little-Wonder.net is into it’s seventh year of existence now. Yay. (:
