I have lots of gas today, coming out in all directions. (Oops, bet ya didn't need to know that.)

Brenda Tan, 21, Singapore

Believes she was born with her foot in her mouth, and sprouts the most random nonsense. Has egoistical tendencies, sticks by her principles, extremely hard-headed and a tongue of venom (when provoked). Otherwise, she's a harmless little fart. Really. Easily bribed with Starbucks' hot chocolate and colourful balloons.

TitleThe agony of cmd.exe

This entry will more or less illustrate the amount of frustration I felt during one of my classes this afternoon.

Was trying simple programming using the C:\ prompt. Very simple programming indeed, as you can see, and yet yours truly was still failing. It must be one of those days were technology decides to go against me. (Which happens very often, I must add.)

Argh.

And the professor was wondering why Krit and I were laughing so hard.

Student burnout? ;)

NOTE: The ‘cd demo’ you see in the above screenshot does not stand for ‘CD Demo’. The command ‘cd’ stands for ‘change directory’, and ‘demo’ is the directory I was attempting to connect to. (Which quite obviously, did not exist, seeing from the errors. Argh.)

TitleRevival of a past.

This design looks familiar? Well, it should.

As most of you would already have realized, the previous design had remained for a record six months. Sonehow, I just couldn’t find the time to materialize the look of Version 42, even though I’ve had sudden bursts of inspiration before.

So, I decided to bring an older design back to life - with some minor tweaks. The last time it had seen the light of day was apparently, in 2005.

And, TA-DAAAH! Version 41.5. (Weird number, I know.)

The rationale for reviving an older design?

Well, the previous one was getting a tad bit too stale. After all, one can stare at a design for only this long before getting the blahs.

This ‘old’ design was selected because this was one of my better works so far, or so I feel. Plus, it had been on the web for only slightly over a month before it was taken down due to fresh bursts of inspiration.

This will remain until I am able to whip up another design, possibly within the next four months or so. (I’ll try.)

Meanwhile, let me go and catch some sleep.

It’s is currently some unearthly hour of the morning already.

TitleDamn the server.

Perhaps I shouldn’t have pinpointed the Webhost Support System which I had done previously in this entry. Hence, I wiped out everything in this entry before and started afresh.

Apparently, the helpdesk claimed that they had seen no downtime from their side - which means that I had either imagined the downtime, or my browser/ISP is being an ass.

But there is no mistaking the fact that I’ve been having trouble connecting to my own site ever since 12 midnight the night before, and the problem is still persisting even at this point in time.

The “Error Loading Page” message is soon going to be the bane of my existence, considering how many times I’ve come face to face with it for the past 14 hours.

The websupport helpdesk is still investigating at the moment, and have assured me that they will take action.

Strangely, their responses have become lightning fast all of a sudden, which was rather surprising, but reassuring. It seemed like the slow support they had previously barely existed at all.

Meanwhile, visitors out there - I need your help.

Please comment and inform me of any anomalies you’ve come across when trying to access this site. Whether it’s loading slower than usual, or loading as quickly as it used to be - please tell me too.

This will enable me to come up with a general trend/pattern which I can present to my webhost should the general visitor population end up experiencing errors as well. Additionally, if problems are coming from a certain ISP, I can deduce from that as well.

Thanks muchos to all.
