The commercial for “Dodo’s Seafood Snacks” aired during every advertisement break during “Living With Lydia” really makes me laugh. For some reason, the commercial has an Indian theme, which is rather cute, but also a little strange. The dance moves shown during the commercial really tickles me pink and also, the tune for the jingle keeps replaying in my mind.
“I love DoDo… Shiok shiok!“
Woke up this morning with four huge bites on my face. The mosquitoes have struck again overnight, and have been happily feasting on my blood during my 12 hours of blissful sleep. It looks pretty awful, and I hope that nobody would take any notice, especially my relatives who have the tendency to point out every single flaw in my appearance.
On a lighter note, the trip to Genting is tomorrow! Although having to wake up in the wee hours of the morning is a complete drag, 6am to be exact, the excitement would still be in the air. Have to reach Aunty Olive’s house at 7am sharp before setting off for the Malaysian Highway at 7:30am. After which, a long 6 hours long drive to Genting Highlands would follow. Although I am looking forward to the trip, I cannot help but worry a little about the persistant cough which had been bugging me for the past few days. That’s how pessimistic I can be at times. I sincerely pray very hard that my entire family and I would remain healthy throughout the entire trip and that nobody would fall sick (especially me).
Also, I hope that I would be able to get along with Aunty Olive, considering how overbearing and assertive she may be at times. Every trip to Genting each year would always end up as a struggle for power between the two of us, as we are constantly wanting to be “in charge”. This time, I would try to give in to her, considering the fact that she is almost three times my age.
Incidentally, it is David’s 11th birthday today! We had an early celebration for him last Saturday during the family chalet since he had hinted to us a few weeks ago that he wanted a memorable celebration. I bought a T-Shirt from Nike for him which costed a bomb, but after all it is the thought that counts. David did love the shirt when he ripped open my present last Saturday.
Anyway, I will most probably be updating this journal while I am in Genting Highlands, considering the fact that my father is bringing his laptop with high speed wireless internet access along to Malaysia. Until then, enjoy the rest of the holidays, take care and God bless each and every one of you!
What the hell? I have just discovered links to three porn sites (EDIT: Another eleven more sites have been discovered) in my log referrals. I am not posting the URLs here for you to watch out for. They have already spammed my referral logs, I do not wish to do anymore further advertising for them.
Take a look at this article. Spammers and porn site administrators are now making use of the referral logs of personal weblogs and domains in order to advertise their sites, and they are luring many innocent people into the world of pornography. This truly pisses me off. I wonder why some bo liao people in this world are actually manupulating the many uses of the internet and actually abusing these features. Mind you, a referral log is something which is important to every weblogger/personal domain owner in order to keep track of their visitors and they do not appreciate all your friggin’ spamming.
I especially hate the fact that my domain is getting hit by this technique, and this problem has also been bothering many of my online friends. I treasure my referral logs a lot and these idiots have to come along and abuse it. Words cannot express how truly frustrated I am about this situation. I just cannot rely on my referral log anymore. So to all of you fucking (pardon the vulgarity) spammers out there. Are you happy now? Laughing at me? Experiencing a sense of pleasure to see another regular blogger hit the dust? I suggest you go and wallow in a pile of mud, eat shit and drop dead in a raging fire. The world of blogging does not need people like you, and you can jolly well disappear for all I care.
NOTE: Due to the above situation, the disclaimer for this domain has been updated and all terms and conditions mentioned in the disclaimer are to be strictly withheld. The internet has become somewhat like an evil arena to be wallowing in these days due to more and more people abusing this tool.
On a slightly lighter note, Still feeling a little unwell. The cough and sneezing had stopped when I woke up this morning, thank goodness. But the headache still persists and I feeling tired and lethargic. Perhaps this is the outcome of the chalet, but one musn’t be too careful. As a precaution, I made a trip to the clinic downstairs and returned with a medicine for asthma! Good grief… I am not known to be asthmatic, but the receptionist at the clinic, Josephine assured me that it is just a mild asthmatic cough. Phew…. So now I am gulping down four pale white tablets every 6 hours in the hope that I would recover completely by this Wednesday.
Praying hard that this flu sickness would not affect my trip to Genting Highlands in any way. Had been looking forward to it for almost two months now and I do not want this particular trip to turn out being ruined. *Pops more Vitamin C pills*
Now I am avoiding fried foods and anything heaty like the plague as an added precaution as I am not willing to take any chances. Also purchased a huge bottle of vitaminised “Pink Dolphin” drink to gulp down so as to increase my immunity and resistance level. Now you can see how paranoid I can be at times.
But I really want to get well! Being sick is the absolute worst thing which can happen in the midst of a holiday. I have yet to complete my Chemistry homework and there are still 10+ Structured Questions which I have scheduled myself to complete before I leave for Genting. However,
I just don’t have the mood nor energy to get down to it. Don’t wish to strain myself any further and to get as much rest as possible in order to recuperate by Wednesday. Excuses… excuses… I know, and I am feeling really guilty for neglecting and leaving my Chemistry uncompleted despite my mother reassuring me that it’s completely okay, considering that I have already completed 65% of my holiday homework within 2 and a half weeks.
Finally uploaded quite a number of photographs taken during the Family Chalet the past three days. Only a selected handful has been uploaded as too many photographs have been taken during this particular event and there isn’t much space for me to load them all.

The chalet was extremely enjoyable, despite the fact that Jeremiah invited absolutely too many of his friends over and my cousins wreaked their usual havoc. 6 of Jeremiah’s friends came over on the first day and another 8 popped by on the second day, making the whole chalet seem unbearably crowded. A little frustrated, Erica and I chased Jeremiah’s friends out of our room last night and we settled down with Matthias and David in a game of Monopoly, enjoying the peace and quiet.
Yesterday evening, Jeremiah, Matthias, David, Erica and I jumped into the swimming pool fully clothed and started playing with a soccer ball which Jeremiah had brought. Surprisingly, no staff reprimanded us for not wearing proper swimwear. However, David dropped his spectacles into the pool a while later and the next fifteen minutes were spent searching the entire pool for them. Erica soon located David’s Spectacles and we continued playing. However, David soon hollered at us a while later with those dreaded words… “S**t! My spectacles are gone!” This time, we spent a whole hour searching for that illusive pair of spectacles.
Also rented the squash court yesterday despite none of us knowing the skill of the game. So Jeremiah began by *trying* out the squash serving techniques and in a few moments later, he was playing like a pro. However, this game of squash seemed more like a game of floorball to me because the ball was rolling on the floor most of the time. Also, David has this habit of hitting the ball with his racket when the ball was already lying stationary on the floor.
The rest of the chalet was pretty much ordinary. We spent most of the time exploring the whole chalet and wading around in the huge pool at one corner of the resort. Engaged in activities such as bowling and gossiping late into the night as well.
Woke up this morning with a backache because I spent the whole night on the floor. Erica, Jeremiah, David and I dozed off on the same bed after being completely bored by Matthias who kept playing the same game on the Playstation. Matthias feel asleep with us soon after he was finished with his game. I awoke at 3am in the morning to find that all the beds have been occupied and I only had one small corner of the bed for myself. Jeremiah had apparently spreaded out his legs and had taken up 3/4 of the bed with poor Erica sleeping in the last 1/4. Matthias and David too, had occupied the other bed despite their small size. Ending up with nowhere to sleep, I pushed out two huge blankets over a space on the floor and fell asleep there…
[EDIT @ 10:27pm]
Dang… I am currently having a horrible flu. Been blowing my nose continuously for the past hour and the Genting Trip is on 3 days! Now praying hard that I would get well before this Wednesday…
